Due to our clients’ requirements and time frames, only candidates with eligibility to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating and maintaining excavators (1.5 to 30T) and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on civil construction sites
- Performing trenching, paving prep, backfilling, site cuts, and boxing out for roads, kerbs, channels, and drainage systems
- Working safely in deep trenches and confined spaces, especially around live services and utilities
- Assisting with de-construction and site preparation tasks, ensuring readiness for upcoming works
- Following site plans, blueprints, GPS/GIS equipment (advantageous) and daily work instructions to complete tasks to required quality and deadlines
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of excavator operations, maintenance, and
troubleshooting – 3 years + experience required
- Experience using other heavy machinery including Loaders, Rollers, Bulldozers, Moxy’s, Pavers or Graders
- Worked across a wide range of projects including roading, drainage, trenching, subdivisions or infrastructure projects
- A Class 2 or 4 full licence with WTR endorsements
- Ability to operate excavators with GPS/GIS technology (an advantage!)
